Simple Voicings

This month I have decided to go back to basics when it comes to learning jazz voicings. I am currently teaching a couple of students who have piano as a second instrument. They are very accomplished jazz saxophone players and their goal is to increase their knowledge of jazz harmonization. This is done most efficiently by learning voicings and harmonization on the piano. Usually, the great jazz horn players we listen to are also well accomplished piano players.
