Celebrate the Piano

by Gail Smith

This month we are introducing a new piano method by Gail Smith. Gail has taught piano lessons to students from the age of three to a 99-year-old woman. Over the years many of her student won contests, college scholarships and various competitions in composing, memorization, and concerto competitions. Her blind student Ivan was on the nationally televised show "That's Incredible." Gail presents her unique style of teaching in this method, Celebrate the Piano, making music interesting and fun while covering the important skills needed to become a great pianist.

This method combines folk songs, original songs and classical repertoire, theory, exercises, the 12-bar blues and other popular styles, a duet, improvisation, hymns and much more in ONE book. This new series will become a new benchmark for piano teachers.

  • Using this method book makes teaching easier than ever.
  • There are a variety of songs for the student to play as they progress along.
  • Scales, chords, and exercises are included throughout each book.
  • Theory lessons and musical terms are interspersed with lesson material.
  • Students will enjoy the selections that are designed to maximize their ability.
  • Each book ends with a final quiz and a certificate of completion.
The first lesson is so important for the student. Using the right book with a qualified teacher will guarantee success for the piano student.
